CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) NOTIFICATION
All international travellers are required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days after they have entered Australia.
Consider Coronavirus infection if there is a history of travel from ANY overseas destination AND experiencing fever, cough, difficulty breathing or flu like symptoms, OR you have had close contact with someone who has had a confirmed case of Corona Virus.
Patients are encouraged to call their GP, Emergency Department or their Public Health Unit (1300 066 055) if they meet this criteria, to discuss the next steps.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS
To reduce the numbers of non-essential visits to the practice, telephone consultations are now available for those who meet the eligibility criteria:
- Have been diagnosed with COVID-19 but aren't a hospital patient, or have been instructed to self-isolate - this includes Health Professionals
- are deemed vulnerable because they are either:
- over 70
- an indigenous person over 50
- pregnant
- a parent of an infant under 12 months
- being treated for a chronic health condition
- Immuno-compromised

MY HEALTH RECORD
The Australian Government has legislated that a My Health Record will be created for all Medicare and Department of Veterans' Affairs card holders in Australia by the end of 2018, Unless they choose not to have one.
My Health Record is an online summary of your key health information such as medical conditions,medicines,allergies and test results in one place.
If you are happy for a My Health Record to be created for you by the end of 2018, you don't need to do anything. If you would like to learn more about My Health Record and it's benefits,or about how to inform the government that you don't want a My Health Record,visit myhealthrecord.gov.au
There will be a three month period commencing 16 July 2018 when you can inform the Government of your choice to opt out of the My Health Record system.This period has not yet started.If you would like to register for when it does commence,please visit myhealthrecord.gov.au.
